On Saturday 18th January 2012, the Seminary hall hosted a conference addressed by Don Carlo Bresciani, Rector of the Seminary of Brescia in Italy and Director of the Istituo Superiore per Formatori. Members of the clergy and the seminarians attended the conference. Amongst other things, Don Carlo Bresciani said: “Sappiamo che la formazione permanente non riguarda solo la continua preparazione spirituale, teologica e pastorale richiesta dal veloce mutamento che interessa tutta la nostra società, ma coinvolge anche la nostra umanità. […] L’umanità del prete è la mediazione naturale della grazia! – una descrizione certo bella, ma molto impegnativa. […] L’umanità del prete spesso si manifesta di fatto determinante sia per la vita buona nel ministero, sia per l’efficacia della sua azione pastorale.” In an informal meeting with the seminarians, held after the conference, Don Bresciani answered questions set to him by the seminarians.
